Position Overview:
You support tree work on commercial properties and HOAs by keeping the job moving, handling
debris, assisting the climber, and maintaining a safe, organized jobsite. Your role exists to
support safe, efficient tree operations through strong ground work, good communication, clean
execution, and reliable jobsite control.
Success Profile and Targets:
- Keep the job moving through strong ground support and cleanup
- Support the climber or crew lead with rigging and ground work
- Manage tools, ropes, and equipment so the crew stays productive
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized jobsite on commercial properties and HOAs
- Watch for hazards and communicate clearly with the crew
Key Responsibilities:
Ground Support for Tree Operations
- Support the climber or crew lead during pruning, removals, and tree work by managing
ropes, rigging support, cutting zones, and debris flow. - Assist with rigging setup, rope handling, branch lowering support, and controlled ground
operations within assigned scope. - Maintain clear communication with the climber during cuts, rigging, and active tree work.
- Help keep drop zones, work areas, and crew movement organized so tree work can be
completed safely and efficiently.
Cleanup, Equipment, and Debris Handling
- Keep the job moving by dragging brush, feeding the chipper, and cleaning as the work
happens. - Move brush, logs, limbs, and debris efficiently so the site stays clear and productive.
- Set up and manage tools, ropes, and equipment so the crew is ready to work and not losing
time. - Complete end-of-day cleanup so the site is clean, tools are accounted for, and equipment is
ready for the next day.
Safety and Jobsite Control
- Set up the jobsite with cones, barriers, equipment staging, and safety zones before
production starts. - Watch for hazards involving the public, vehicles, crew movement, drop zones, rigging, and
equipment. - Follow all company safety expectations, including PPE, chainsaw awareness, chipper safety,
rigging awareness, heat safety, and traffic control. - Escalate unsafe conditions, property risks, equipment issues, and jobsite hazards immediately.

- Show up on time, ready to work, with required PPE and tools.
- Participate in the morning huddle to review the job, plan, and safety hazards.
- Complete pre-job setup including cones, equipment staging, and safety zone readiness.
- Maintain constant communication with the climber during active work.
- Keep cleanup moving throughout the day so debris does not pile up.
- Complete end-of-day cleanup and daily equipment checks on the chipper, saws, and ropes.
Weekly
- Keep ropes, tools, saws, and safety gear organized and production-ready.
- Improve pace, awareness, and support based on feedback from the crew lead or climber.
- Maintain strong attendance and safe work habits.
Monthly
- Reduce avoidable slowdowns, cleanup gaps, and safety mistakes.
- Improve rigging support, communication, and jobsite control.
- Build more independence and reliability in supporting full tree operations.
Seasonal Expectations
Summer: Early starts, strong heat-safety habits, and lighter pace during peak heat.
Storm season: More cleanup work, emergency response support, and occasional longer days.
Cooler months: Full production pace with removals and trimming work.
Communication Norms

schedule while supporting water efficiency, property appearance, and reliable field execution.

- Complete irrigation installs and repairs correctly the first time
- Keep production moving without wasted time or unnecessary delays
- Manage tools, parts, and materials so the crew stays productive
- Help maintain clean, professional jobsites on commercial properties and HOAs

Key Responsibilities:
Irrigation Installation and Repair
- Own the quality of assigned irrigation work, including pipe installation, fitting assembly, drip
work, sprinkler head installation, valve work, and repair support. - Install irrigation components correctly so systems operate properly and provide the intended
water coverage. - Fix common field problems such as broken heads, leaks, damaged fittings, clogged drip
components, and similar issues within assigned scope. - Test the system before leaving so repairs and installations are confirmed in the field, not
discovered later through callbacks. - Complete clean, solid work that protects property appearance and reduces rework.
Productivity and Work Execution
- Keep the job moving by staying productive, prepared, and ready for the next task.
- Handle routine task execution and small in-scope field adjustments without constant
direction. - Bring bigger issues forward early so the crew can stay on schedule and avoid wasted labor.

- Manage pipe, fittings, drip components, heads, valves, and related materials so the crew has

Key Responsibilities:
Enhancement Installation and Improvement Work
- Own the quality and pace of the work in front of you, including planting, irrigation
improvements, soil preparation, material handling, and hardscape support tasks. - Complete assigned installation and improvement work correctly the first time so the crew
avoids callbacks, delays, and wasted labor. - Support planting installation through bed prep, layout support, digging, planting, staking,
backfilling, mulching, and final detail work. - Support irrigation improvement work through trenching, parts handling, installation support,
adjustments, and cleanup within the scope assigned by the crew lead or manager. - Support hardscape and landscape improvement work by preparing site areas, moving
materials, assisting with base prep, and keeping production moving.
Productivity and Work Execution
- Complete your share of the daily scope at the expected pace without sacrificing quality
- Stay focused on productive work during the day and avoid idle time that hurts the labor
budget. - Make small field adjustments needed to complete assigned tasks correctly, as long as they
